Jamaica Mission Trip 2025
From June 24 to July 2, 2025, our team embarked on a mission trip to Jamaica to serve the Logos International Worship Center and its surrounding communities. It was a unique opportunity to serve in a beautiful yet impoverished area, fostering cultural exchange and spiritual growth while providing tangible support to needy communities. For those missionaries traveling with the 2025 Jamaica Mission team for the first time, it was an eye-opening and humbling experience. The things we don't think twice about in the United States are not always available in Jamaica. Conveniences like air conditioning, a flush toilet, clean tap water, and electricity are things we take for granted. This team was also allowed to experience a different culture firsthand, making a lasting impact as we focused on electrical work, spiritual instruction, medical aid, and evangelistic outreach.
Serving God’s People…
Giving Back | The Electrical Team
Dedicated Men At Work
An electrical team from South Carolina, led by Elder Thomas Coker, believes in the power of service beyond electrical contracting. The team was committed to making a meaningful impact through their missionary work. During our trip, the electrical team pre-piped the Logos International Worship Center Church in St. Elizabeth, which was severely damaged in 2024 by Hurricane Beryl. One year later, communities are still recovering. Due to the absence of a roof from the category four storm, services and vocational Bible School activities could not be held in this location; the extreme heat posed additional challenges. The team's work restored the church's functionality and provided a safe and comfortable space for future ministry efforts. Their dedication to this missionary work was a true testament to this team's belief in building structures and fostering positive change in the lives of those we served in these areas.
Experiencing His Presence | Praise and Worship Ministry
Growing and expanding our missionary visits through strategic praise and powerful worship is another way to share an uplifting and deepening connection with God. The goal of worship is to praise Jesus, serve God, experience the presence of the Holy Spirit, shout out in praise and thanksgiving, and be refreshed and blessed by the Lord.
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." – Matthew 18:20
Under the leadership of Missionary Ines Martinez and Melina Foe, the praise dance ministry provided a godly outlet for those who desire to praise God through dance. It enriches the spiritual atmosphere of praise and worship. It gives our Jamaican brothers and sisters in Christ with the opportunity to discover and develop a relationship with God and to praise Him through spiritual dance.
Psalm 149: 2-3 - Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance.

Dr. Juliet Glover
The Doctor at Work
The medical team, headed by Dr. Juliet Glover, successfully conducted three clinics during the June 2025 Jamaica mission trip, and it was a resounding success. The team came prepared with over 500 reading glasses of various strengths, as it was difficult to anticipate the needs of the communities we would be visiting.
Over three days, 147 individuals were served as detailed below:
In addition to the reading glasses, all individuals received the following items:
Glasses case
Glasses cleaning cloth
Bible tract
Toothbrush and toothpaste

Savanna-la-Mar Infirmary
Activities included visiting the Savanna-la-Mar Infirmary, where team members ministered through praise dance, encouraged patients and staff, and delivered gifts and medical supplies. These efforts aimed to bring salvation, deliverance, and practical aid to those in need.

We presented the kids at the Logos International Worship Center in Grange Hill, Westmoreland, with a VBS program centered around the story of Nehemiah, the cupbearer for the King of Persia. The team, led by Missionary Gwendolyn Glover, enjoyed teaching the kids when they are invited to quit the work God has planned for them, it's okay to say, "Oh No" to Ono. The program was highly successful. Youth were given t-shirts with the phrase "Oh No" to Ono, and they were provided with printable lessons on the Nehemiah story, engaging children throughout the summer, fostering spiritual growth through teaching, activities, and outreach.
Mission Possible | School Book Bag Project
IThe Book Bag Project was quite a challenge, shipping school supplies to Jamaica ahead of the mission trip that were collected through the efforts of both Our Fathers House, under the leadership of Bishop Ed and Carleen Riley, and Rain Ministries with Apostle Beverly Jones. Missionaries Dale Evans and Mae Tobin, traveling on this missionary journey to make sure, made it happen. The team assembled over 150 book bags stuffed with grade-appropriate supplies, giving them the confidence to start the next school year prepared and ready to succeed. This project, made possible by your donations, was a significant contribution to the education and future of these children in Jamaica.
Your Mission Dollars at Work
The Phoenix Foundation World Mission is passionate about creating positive change in communities worldwide by empowering, building, and implementing sustainable solutions. In 2025, we will continue to be good stewards with donor contributions, recognizing how vital your dollars are to impacting the lives of many communities we serve. Thank you for allowing us to serve. We put your charitable contributions to work. Having no paid employees and a dedicated focus on our mission, your money is reaching those we serve. For instance, we are building several multi-purpose, community-based centers to promote social cohesion, resilience, and empowerment.
The 2025 Jamaica Mission trip was an example of your dollars in action. Many non-profits are experiencing a decline in donations; however, the need is greater than ever. Please make the Phoenix Foundation World Mission a part of your monthly or yearly charitable giving by using one of the platforms below to donate to the mission and vision God has birthed in us. Donating to the Phoenix Foundation World Mission is more than simply funding our various programs; it brings redemptive hope to people challenged daily by the most desperate situations. Every dollar you donate invests in achieving long-term, sustainable impact in underdeveloped communities worldwide. And we need your help more than ever.
